My husband and I went here for dinner last Sunday evening before Labor Day. The location is nice - right on the river and in an interesting and historic building. The service was good and we had a nice cozy table near the (empty) fireplace. We would have preferred the room overlooking the river, but they were not seating anyone there. The food was ok, but not as good as I would expect for the price. Several things on the menu were unavailable and the bread was hard, cold, and tasted stale. We may go back one more time and give it another try. Maybe the chef was on vacation over Labor Day.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Awful experience at New Year's Eve wedding. Horrible service. Bar not stocked well. Clearly unable to handle a party Will never come here again.

We were married at the Inn 10/31/2014. Myself and some of my bridesmaids stayed there the night before and when we came back from rehearsal dinner, Melissa and her staff stayed and were helping decorate the certain things I wanted set up the night before. We woke up to a nice breakfast with more than enough fruits, cereals, pastries, and drinks. We had our whole bridal party rent out the whole inn and the rooms were cozy and clean. I began with hair/makeup and then Melissa and her amazing crew came in during the afternoon to set up. I did not have one worry. I had a candy bar - which they also set up. I couldn't imagine a more beautiful candy bar. It looked amazing. I told Melissa where I would like certain things the night before and they were right there where I asked the day of. Everything was also neatly piled up for us to pack into our cars the next day. So let me set some of these reviews straight: 1. The condition of the patio tiles- really? The inn was built in 1705, let me repeat, 1705!!! The condition is great for being that damn old! Yes, some cracks here and there, but who cares. 2. I decorated the inn while BAREFOOT!!! I encouraged my bridesmaids to get comfortable to, including Melissa who has been nothing but helpful. I mean, they are helping me for my wedding. Why make them shove their feet in heels/boots? Get comfy! 3. No one waited long for anything because I was on time. Maybe some guests at other weddings had to wait because the bride or party were running behind. 4. The ceremony was set up beautifully. It transformed into cocktail hour in a blink of an eye. All of my guests raved over the food, especially the macaroni and cheese bar. 5. Introductions were awesome. I loved everyone surrounding the dance floor while everyone were introduced and then we were. It was so intimate and personal. 6. Dinner- Amazing. I was already dancing, but Melissa found me to let me know it was being served. It was hot, good, and on time!! Every staff member asked my multiple times if I was hungry, thirsty, or needed anything. 7. Bakery- the cake and cupcakes were AMAZING!!! Everyone raved. My one pregnant bridesmaid sent her husband out the next day to get more from them. Great job Lochels! To end my awesome review with Centre Bridge Inn- I would like to say a few more things. Melissa and her staff are amazing. From checking in the day before, to leaving and coming back to get some things I forgot behind, they were more than accommodating. The staff even had us do a flash mob to Thriller, which everyone loved. Did I mention how much I loved Melissa and the staff? My guests all asked where we found this hidden gem. Now they all see why we chose them as our venue to get married. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our time there. We will be back for more visits and dinners. Oh and I forgot so many things, like trimming the boutonnieres. Melissa ran downstairs while we were taking pictures, trimmed them, and pinned them all on the groomsmen. They made us look organized!!! Thanks again Centre Bridge Inn for such an amazing wedding day

DIsappointing, disheartening and unsatisfied! Is not only mine and my husbands reaction to the Wedding we hosted this past Saturday September 27, 2014 at the Center Bridge Inn. My parents and my in-laws are so offended by the behavior of the wedding event coordinator on the day of my wedding and her lack of response up until the day of the week of the wedding. 1. a. The condition of the tiles on the patio is horrible!! Several guests reported that they caught their heels in cracked and crumbling tiles. One of my Mother-in-law's bests friends fell very badly! She had to spend the rest of the evening in a chair with ice on several body parts! Prior to booking, My contractor husband questioned the poor condition of the patio and was told that it would be all repaired and beautiful by September. It was in fact worse! b. My husband, the guys and my husbands family arrived on site at 230 as planned and the Event Coordinator Melissa was barefoot in a very casual sundress. My mother-in law was insulted and I am appalled by her lack of professionalism. BAREFOOT!!! c. Everyone in my husbands family and bridal party were all sitting in the 80 degree sun while waiting for me to get dressed and waiting for photos for over an hour and no one offered them water, soda, or anything. When some of the guys went to the bar to ask for an alcoholic drink ,Melissa rudely said the bar doesn't open until after the Ceremony! NOWHERE in my contract did it say anything about that! we knew about there no shot policy but we weren't allowed anything?! d. Overall the entire evening I felt like Melissa did not care about my wedding and that our event was not important. She would be overly nice in my face yet all my guests said she had a nasty attitude. When my other was trying to have a private moment with our priest in Melissa's office, Melissa and staff came storming in and snapped at them to "GET OUT!" WHy couldn't Melissa just simply say, " excuse me ladies my staff needs to get ready could you use a different space?(then show them where would be better)" She seemed hungover or extra extra tired. 2. Cocktail Hour: a. Chaotic, no one making sure that the food was replenished (and now I know why, b/c they did not provide enough). I looked for anything from my Philly table and seafood station several times during the hour and each time was told "we are working on it". WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? b. The oysters ran out and when I asked if they could replenish it I was told "we are working on it". c. The movement of the chairs after the ceremony through the area where guests were mingling was ridiculous. Seemed very unorganized! 3. Introductions and Dances: a. Forcing over 100 guest into the Tavern space for the introductions and first dances did not work. It was way too crowded, the elderly guests needed to sit, and it was too hot in that room. It remained hot in that room all night, My husband and I even asked if the air conditioning could be turn on. Why bring everyone down, get them seated only to say ok get up and go into the bar area for the announcements of the bride & groom, & first dances? Again chaotic! 4. Dinner: a. A third of my guest are Gluten Free including myself the bride. The Cesar salad was supposed to be preset and croutons on the table so that people who are ALLERGIC AND INTOLERANT of products made of wheat, flour, and gluten would not have contact with them! after we had been seated and toasts had been completed the salads with croutons mixed into the dressing making it so that all the bread-crumb and parts of croutons were mixed into all the salads. The worst part was it was not until I started to have an allergic reaction did I know something was not right! This was embarrassing. And I was sick on my wedding night! b. I was served dinner at 745pm and some of my guest were just getting their dinners at 9pm. I was dancing with my father and my best friends were just getting their meals! Seriously? When my bridal party asked the event coordinator at 930pm when is dessert being served? They were told...You got it - "we are working on it". My father left for the night at 10pm and never tasted any dessert! c. I ordered about 5 children's meals (chicken fingers & fries), all of them were so over cooked none of the kiddos could eat!

If I needed identify what was wrong with our experience here in one word, that word would be EVERYTHING. This was our second visit to this establishment, our first one was about 7 years ago and we had fond memories of our experience during that visit in front of their fireplace. Since then, the business changed for the worse, turning the fond memory of the past to a poor outlook for their future. First, let me start by saying they have only one entree under $30 on their menu, the Spring Vegetable Risotto. The remainder are all over $30. Judging by the prices, this place is "high end." However, like a "Luxury Apartment" the only thing luxurious is the price at the Centre Bridge. Since our last visit, they opened a nice eating patio on the main floor of the business. It provides a nice view of the river and the Centre Bridge. However, the outdoor dining area also highlights details that the establishment overlooks: rusty chairs, old shingles, dirty sky light windows, spider webs on the railing, and water spots on the silverware. These things, among others showed the lack of attention this business gives to it's details. Walking through the interior of the building it is quaint and cozy, exactly what you'd expect from a historic inn. For drinks, they have a wine, cocktails, and beer. For dinner, my girlfriend first ordered Zinfandel with her order, they were out of that wine. Instead, she selected the Pino Grigio. This white wine was not chilled, poor form for any restaurant, but they served it with ice in case the customer is interested in watering down their wine. Because who doesn't want watered down wine? For appetizers, we ordered the Antipasto Milano and Oysters. First, the Antipasto Milano is served with 3 meats and 3 cheese selections. It also comes with a meaningless oil, rosemary, and garlic garnish in a shot glass, which served little to compliment the meat and cheese. After all, you don't need oil to compliment items that already have some fat content to support the flavor. The Oysters are served on a bed of lettuce. Appropriately served oysters are typically served on ice or salt. In addition to serving, the Oysters were not completely shucked and were still attached to the shell. They were served with vignette without the option of a cocktail sauce or horseradish. Aside from the preparation, the appetizers took a very long time to deliver, considering that all the items needed no cooking. And there was no appreciable clientele to justify the kitchen delay. For entrees, we had the Shrimp & Grits and the New York Strip steak. Again, it took a very long time to serve. The serving time didn't help the quality of the dishes. The shrimp & grits were nearly flavorless. The grits were hard and chewy, in addition they had nothing to accompany them in terms of flavoring. The dish came with 6 medium shrimp with scallion, bacon, thyme and lemon that added a mild taste to the shrimp. The New York Strip was overcooked (ordered medium rare and cooked beyond medium) and covered with gorgonzola. The gorgonzola overpowered the steak, a flavor that was exaggerated by the over cooked steak; "awful" would be a compliment. For extras, warm bread is served with hard butter. Salad is served with dinner with the choice of the Solebury, Caesar, and wedge. We both had the Ceasar, which was as expected and served with soft lettuce. Fresh vegetables were served with the entrees, they were raw or barely cooked with the dish. Our server was satisfactory, but the service was poor. Our server was frequently making excuses for delays - "shucking the last oyster" (for 15 minutes), "the [vendor] delivery of the steak caused an issue with timing," etc. He stopped by frequently enough to fill our drinks in the several varieties of glasses they have available. We love dining out and are willing to pay a premium price for a premium product, but here all you get is the price. Your money can go a long way for something better elsewhere in the Delaware Valley. Or, just go next door to Dilly's for a burger and fries. You might be pleasantly surprised instead of sorely disappointed.

Expectations exceeded. My wife and I had dinner here last night for a birthday celebration and we were both very impressed with the service, food and ambience. Upon arrival we made our way to the bar area, which is adjacent to the restaurant, and were greeted by a delightful barkeep who promptly prepared a tequila cosmo for my wife. She is a bit hard to please with her favorite drinks but was very happy with this cocktail. I had a glass of house pinot. We had our choice of tables when it was time to dine as there was only one other group present in the restaurant, and a few folks at the bar itself. We sat right between the beautifully decorated christmas tree and the lovely fireplace. After a bit of fooling around with our wobbly table all was good and Kenneth our waiter went through the menu and made a few suggestions. My wife ordered the special short ribs which was served over mashed sweet potatoes and some very fresh string beans. I was unsure between the roast duck breast and filet mignon and after consulting with Kenneth chose the filet which was served over a wonderful lobster risotto and a side of string beans. Our waiter suggested a Malbec and I asked him to pick one. He chose a Clayhouse paso robles Malbec 2010, which complimented the dinner selections perfectly. Kenneth was very knowledgable about the Inn and surrounding area and we discussed some of the history of the place and also a bit about wines. He made us feel as if we were having a private dinner. We realize that we were one of only two parties in the restaurant and during a busier time we might not have been so lucky, but it was great for us. The lobster risotto was outstanding and the filet was prepared perfectly medium rare. My wife could not compliment the short ribs enough - but she could not finish them. I had what was left the next day for lunch. We finished with espresso and a delicious chocolate dessert. Spacing of the courses was just right. We can't understand how other reviewers had so many issues with this. Perhaps they did not have Kenneth. Other reviewers commented on the high prices for various dishes but I think they misunderstood the menu which includes a salad in the entree price. Entrees were fairly priced, in our view. We will definitely consider returning soon. Nancy & Mark.

The menu is a bit pricey so I recommend going here for appetizers and drinks. The tables outside have a nice view and their appetizers are pretty good. We typically visit during non-peak hours so our service is always good. If they would be a bit more reasonable with their prices, I would dine here for full meals.

I am so torn about this review!! The inn was lovely- beautiful setting, the building is incredible, and the staff was great. Super cozy and romantic! Nice continental breakfast. Great wineries in the area and New Hope is a nice little town to walk around in. Wonderful spot for a weekend getaway. HOWEVER! We were there for NYE dinner and it really ruined our experience. Ok- granted we were a solid decade or two younger than any other guest- but still!! First off- you have 60 guests MAX for dinner service... All with reservations so you know how many folks you have coming.. How do you run out of two items on a prix fixe by 8pm?? Salad was under dressed and awful, lobster bisque was ice cold and had a pudding-like consistency and film, don't get me started on carpaccio or gnocchi, salmon was so over cooked it crunched and the duck... Let's just not go there. For 95 a head you have to be kidding me!! Not only were we horrified- but we both feel awful today, (granted part of that could have been the champagne!)

I almost didn't want to go to the Centre bridge inn after reading the reviews... But we were considering holding our wedding there so we went. I have to say that, luckily, my experience was fantastic. First--the location and scenery were both fantastic. This cute, quaint inn out of the hustle and bustle of new hope in on the water next to a bridge and their deck and event space offers a great view of Stockton just across the water. And more important, the staff was warm, friendly and inviting as was the inn and restaurant. We went at 2 o'clock on a Sunday and while I thought a brunch menu would be available all that was offered was a dinner menu. That's really on me for not doing my homework. But the menu was reasonably priced--$30 for 3 courses--offered many appealing options, and while there have been comments about portion size, ours were huge (most of us took doggie bags). The food was also really tasty: I typically don't order short ribs as many places overcook them, but these were falling off the bone and well-seasoned. The duck with cherry compote and mushroom risotto was amazing. Desserts were good (though totally unnecessary.) All in all, a great time was had by all--and will be at our wedding there next year!

We were a little nervous when our friends picked this place for dinner because the reviews on some sites were poor. However we were pleasantly surprised. We had a table by the old fireplace which warmed us up after the freezing temperatures outside. The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The salads to start were average but the main courses (Chilean Sea Bass with risotto and Prime Rib) were excellent and no more expensive than other similar establishments. The dessert and coffee (no espresso) was average. Martini's were good but small. Beer list wasn't extensive but they had Sam Adams which was fine. Wines by the glass were the standard red/white selections you'd expect and while the pour was stingy the Pinot Grigio I had was very good. The biggest shock was when my wife wanted fries instead of the baked potato with her prime rib and they wanted to up charge. I forgot to check the final bill to see if they did but that was just silly on their part. In summary, great location, good food and most importantly excellent company.

Decided to try this place again. Very slow service. Took an hour to get the food. They were out of several items. The prime rib was tough. There are better choices for dinning in the area.

We stayed in room 10, checking in at the last minute that same day. They were therefore nice enough to extend a discount of about $50 off the actual room rate of $250. However, the value was not what was expected at even the discounted price. The large windows overlooking the river were practically opaque with dirt, and overall, the room did not exude a feeling of cleanliness. For the price, you would expect nice amenities, but there was not even a bar of soap provided and no instructions about where to get ice (the staff had gone for the evening). The furnishings in our room were a bit rundown and in need of renovation. The carpet up the stairs leading to our room was torn. That being said, the continental breakfast was lovely and the patio on the river where we sat enjoying was lovely.

I got married at Centre Bridge Inn and I didn't find it to be a great experience. My wedding party and I booked up most of the rooms and had decided to use the inn to get ready before the ceremony and I will say this...it is a cute little inn. It's very quaint and charming. Unfortunately, there is no central air conditioning, so it was a hot mess for a bride, four bridesmaids and a flower girl getting ready in a 90+ degree room in July. They did have window "air conditioners" but were not working until after the wedding reception was over and everyone had left or went back to their rooms. I would say that was my biggest issue. The passed appetizers were pretty good, but in general, the food was meh. It was okay - not great, not horrible, just okay. The cake vendor they use (Cramer's Bakery in Yardley, Pa) was just dreadful (their cakes are dry and tasteless, there was a lack of customer service, wouldn't return my calls, couldn't make any of the cake designs I wanted, etc), so I had to fire them and choose another bakery (see my other reviews). Also, I was told that a cheese and fruit plate (from our stationary appetizers at the wedding) would be sent up to our room so that we could have something to eat as sort of a midnight snack (since there's nothing open in New Hope on a Sunday after 9 or 10pm). That never happened. Oh, and a couple of my guests felt so uncomfortable with the amount of bugs in their room that they didn't even want to spend the night and just drove home after the reception. This might have occured when they were attempting to repair the faulty window air conditioners and some bugs got in from outside, but they should have cleared the room before guests went in to sleep for the night. So, in the end... it's a cute inn and an okay place to get married if you need to spend less than 10K to have a wedding... if you don't mind being embarrassed in front of your guests (the bug thing and lack of air conditioning and seeing everyone miserable really sucked and was completely embarassing). Will I return to Centre Bridge? Nope.

Center Bridge Inn is a lovely historic inn and restaurant. We had a romantic dinner here, sitting in front of the charming fireplace. The food was exceptional, I especially recommend the pistachio Dijon encrusted salmon, fresh and tasty. We also enjoyed several nice wines. Everything was wonderful, great live band enhanced our experience also. We are already planning our return visit.

February 26, 2012 Total experience 4 out of 5 stars. This review is focused on the Eggs Benedict and the brunch experience. Food: Two varieties of Eggs Benedict are on the menu. Traditional and with smoked salmon. Food: The eggs were perfect and of excellent quality, the ham was grilled, smokey and tasty . The English Muffin was replaced by a robust well grilled toast. The hollandaise sauce was tasty and not gloppy. Setting: The ambiance was outstanding. we were seated right up next to the fire place. The background music was very nice. Bar: The Bloody Mary was very good.

We stayed here the night before and after our wedding reception. We also reserved a few rooms for friends and family, all of whom were very happy with the service and the rooms. The Inn is just beautiful -- quaint and welcoming. The employees were spectacular. In fact, after checking in, my husband and I, who live only an hour away, left after dinner to return to home to pack more items for the reception. We were tired, and decided to sleep at home the first night. The next day, we received a call from the Inn. The housekeeper noticed we hadn't slept in the bed and, concerned, they called to make sure we were okay. THAT is spectacular service. Then, to make it all even better, upon checkout, they offered us the opportunity to stay an extra evening since we had to head home the first night. We did not expect such an accommodation, and were truly impressed. Finally...because we were too tired to get up for breakfast, they didn't let us leave without fresh baked blueberry muffins which were really great :) (My friends tell me breakfast was wonderful!)

This is an Old, Historic, Inn. If you're not in to History, Go to a Holiday Inn! The Top Notch Staff goes out of their way to insure your comfort. The Inn has a restaurant, charming old bar, and beautiful deck and room views of the Delaware River. I happened to be their during a Charity Event for a Local Marine. The Hors'd Oeuvres, custom made by the Executive Chef were Delicious. The Charity offered by Jerry (The Owner) towards the benefit, were touching! Rooms are Dated, but Charming and Some Parts of the Inn are scheduled for Slight Renovations. The Views from the Suites are Great! One of the most remarkable values of staying here, besides its convenient location to Lambertville, New Hope, and Plenty of Antiques, is their CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST!!! No, Not little Cereal Boxes with boiled Eggs, but Fresh Baked, Pastries, Croissants. Fruit that is Fresh and Ripe, Not hard as a rock, and DELICIOUS, Custom Roasted Coffee from a Local Roaster!! The Continental Breakfast is included with your Stay! No Need To Spend $30/pp on a Crowded Sunday Brunch, when you can enjoy your breakfast at the Inn. Brunch is also available at the Inn. I can't wait to go back. Plenty to do in the Area, Historic Towns, Breweries, Wineries, ANTIQUES, ANTIQUES, ANTIQUES!!!

I went here for my Valentine's Day dinner on 2/14. It was dinner 2 of 2, and there was a lot of good will in the bank just based on the fact that we were not seated on a musician's lap like we were at Deanna's. The atmosphere was great. Quiet and romantic. Our waitress was also very nice. My shrimp bisque was very tasty, although kind of lukewarm, and my veal was also delicious. The chocolate cheesecake was to die for. I don't know about the B&B because I did not stay there but the restaurant was great.

My husband and I had a coupon so we decided to try this on our anniversary. I booked a reservaton one week in advance. When we arrived were told there was a "fund raiser" going on and we were not able to be seated outside overlooking the river. We ened up in the huge banquet room downstairs with a bright pocket light over our heads. All that was missing was the bride!!! It was a huge room with only only 4 others in it. We felt very silly, and I was extremely upset at not being told this when I made the reservation. Not how I envisioned my anniversary dinner!! The food was good, I will say that much, they were not able to provide the drink menu due to the special fundraiser. We also had very hard, stale bread. They were apologetic and did give us a wine cooler on the house, and a dessert. I would have rather had a nicer ambiance and totally regret now even staying there. We should have just gone elsewhere. A disspointing p.m. but at least the food was good.

This review is for dinner at the restaurant at Centre Bridge Inn with the Fall, 2012 menu. The Inn's restaurant is really quaint and cozy. I enjoyed the dining room near the fireplace. I'd been curious about CBI and wondered each time I went to Dilly's when I'd get to try it. We took advantage of deal on Living Social and were finally able to give it a go. I can't fault them too much on alcohol selection because we went only a few days after they had their electricity back after Hurricane Sandy. Because of the loss they did not have a lot of their wines or champagne in stock. In a way I'm glad we were unable to order any alcohol because the wine and champagne prices were pretty jacked up. I understand it's a restaurant and there's a mark up, but I guess I'd rather not know their $20.00 bottle of champagne is actually $13.00 at a liquor store. The food was just eh. I wasn't that impressed with the variety, but I am also extremely picky when it comes to food. For anyone else it could've been enough but for me it wasn't. If you're a vegetarian, you might have been a little hard-pressed for true vegetarian choices. I ordered a soup and salad since I wasn't keen on having salmon, scallops, short ribs, lobster, or chicken. Like I said, I'm picky. The salad dressing was insanely bland. I mean it had basically no flavor, which was strange. The lobster bisque I ordered was just ok. It seemed a little gummy, like they used too much flour. The lobster itself was good and tasted fresh. I was not displeased but I wasn't impressed either. My fiance ordered the lobster and said it was good, albeit it super watery inside. He had to ask for a separate bowl to put the shells in and also had to ask for the shell cracker. Not too big of a deal but also not something you should have to ask for. The service left a little something to be desired, but again it could just be that they were a little off their game because of the lack of electricty and getting back into the swing of things. Again I really loved the interior and still had a good time. I think 3/5 stars is fair for the experience we had. I would definitely like to try it again to see if my opinion can improve. Oh, I just have to say, the Friday night pianist/vocalist is very...interesting. Very, very interesting. Dinner and a show for sure.

While I am a local to this establishment, I seem to try it every year, and every year it disappoints. First thing- NOTHING on the menu is under 30 dollars. Even Pasta Bolognase. Really, and while the new addition (deck overlooking the Delaware) is romantic and a great setting, I have to say the dinner was not worth the 100 plus it cost us for 2 people. First- servers are not at the level of a 30 bucks a plate place - once the $30 bottle of wine was poured for us to taste the server never came back to refresh our glasses- despite there was only 4 tables there on a Thursday night. The food was eh- not bad but not good for this price point- I had the scallops and while they were stacked for presentation they were also kinda salty, as were the fried rice balls or whatever those sides were. Sorry, you fooled us again, we won;t drive the 5 minutes to eat here- not with the Hamilton Grill Room and other places - that seem to be a bargain next to the price we paid at CB Inn......

My husband and I ate at The Centre Bridge Inn last night. We had reservations for 6:30. While the atmoshere of eating outside on their large patio overlooking the canal and the river is delightful, it was the one thing that kept the dinner experience from being unpleasant - because we had such a great view while continuously WAITING! The service was EXTREMELY S-L-O-W. I can understand that an entree might take a while, but our bread? The salad? The water??? When we arrived no one at any of the dozen tables had any food of any kind. We arrived at 6:30, we left at 8:40. Ok the food was good, but for $30+ an entree, I would expect it to be exceptional. It was not, and what's sad is that most of the items could have easily been fixed with some seasoning - ever heard of salt and pepper? I had a caesar salad that was fresh, but it was bland - no salt or pepper - where was the garlic? My scallops were cooked well and did have nice flavor, but the accompanying "deep fried rice ball" (if that's what it was)? It had an interesting texture, but no flavor what-so-ever. I am not a person who typically salt and peppers my food, but I had to do so with everything I ate. The rolls - they were great, but we waited 1/2 an hour for them. We waited 45 minutes for our salad, and over an hour for our entree. We waited 10 minutes for our water glasses to be filled. Only the view saved this evening. But next time we want to see the scenery, we'll just take a walk along the canal.
